Saint Nicholas celebration
The 6th December is a very important date in Alsace, as it is the feast day of Saint Nicholas, patron saint of schoolchildren.
Lapoutroie celebrates this iconic figure for an afternoon. Young and old alike are welcome to come and meet him.
An authentic celebration in different locations around the village.
- Media library/toy library: presentation and sale of games, as well as creative workshops to make Christmas decorations.
- Leisure centre: 5.30 pm, the show ‘Experts et Associés’, free admission.
- Place du Vieux Moulin: musical interludes, introduction to role-playing games, fire show, gift ideas and handicrafts, snacks and treats.
- Illuminations... and at 6.15 pm, the arrival of Saint Nicholas, accompanied by Père Fouettard... lantern parade, welcome songs and distribution of treats.
An authentic moment to celebrate the magic of lights in a friendly, warm and musical atmosphere, allowing everyone to share a moment with family and friends.
