Sled dog race
the must-see event of the winter
Every year, the Lac Blanc resort has the pleasure of hosting the "Sylvette Fritsch Trophy" sled dog race. This event, very popular with the mushers but also with the public, counts for the French Pulka and Dogsled Federation championship.
A part of the Nordic domain of the Lac Blanc is then used as a theatre for this great event. The other sector remains accessible to cross-country skiers (Immerlins sector and route des crêtes), i.e. more than 30 km.
The event takes place over two days, with one round per day. The four Nordic races are represented: Siberian Huskies-Greenland Eskimos, Alaskan Malamutes and Samoyededes.
On the car parks, near the Auberge du Blancrupt, the carriages are installed and there, the visitors will be able to admire their favourite dogs. The mushers are always happy to share their passion with them!
