Le Bonhomme

The name Le Bonhomme comes from Latin bono homine, in reference to Saint Déodat, hermit to the Bonhomme around 660, then founder of the monastery of Saint Dié.

Since the Second World War, industry and agriculture declined and Bonhomme gradually turns to a more rational use the forests and towards tourism.

In the heart of the Vosges mountains, the village is close to the ski slopes and Nordic ski resort of Lac Blanc and hiking trails.
