Perched on the hills above Lapoutroie, discover the Pastille et Cachou garden, a true haven of biodiversity.
Come and see how, over the past 30 years, this ornamental and kitchen garden has grown from scratch on reclaimed land to become a sanctuary of well-being, yet just a stone’s throw from the busy D415 road.
Here you can enjoy a variety of ornamental and vegetable crops. You’ll also see how all these resources provide raw materials for the Pastille and Cachou Workshop, an eco-recycling craft business with the ‘Eco-Défi’ label, thereby helping to support its circular self-sufficiency.
Come and explore this inspired garden, which combines various permaculture techniques and uses its natural resources—rocks and willow fences—to create a range of eco-recycled sculptures, functional objects and decorations.
And of course, a wide variety of plants awaits you, arranged in a carefully studied disorder—sometimes symbolic, sometimes useful, sometimes decorative—to feed the imagination and bring a deep sense of well-being.
Whether you’re a keen enthusiast or simply curious, you’re very welcome!
Refreshments available, garden-grown treats
NB: Parking in the village is recommended (please note major roadworks in the village) – Access on foot: approx. 15-minute walk uphill.
