Question : Which ski runs are open?

Answer : Every day find the updated snow report for Alpine skiing or Nordic skiing

Question : Can I book my ski passes online ?
Answer : Yes, but you must already be in possession of the magnetic card for the free hand pass, it is then possible to top up your pass online at https://lac-blanc.fr/  . If this is your first visit, you will have to go directly to the ski lift ticket office.

Question : What are the days and times of night skiing?

Answer : The night skiing sessions take place from 5pm until 9.30pm on Fridays until 10 February 2024 and from 13 February 2024 on Tuesdays. Check today's snow report to see if they are taking place.

Question : Where can I rent equipment ?

  • downhill skiing for adults and/or children (Blancrupt, Reissberg, Jacky Sport - Lac Blanc 1200 & Vallon - Lac Blanc 900)

Question : Can I book my equipment in advance?
Answer : Yes, you can hire your ski equipment online in advance from :

The other rental companies in the Lac Blanc resort only hire equipment on site.

Question: Are fat bikes permitted on the Route des Crêtes?

Answer : No, fat bikes are not permitted on the Route des Crêtes. The Route des Crêtes is reserved for Nordic skiers, pedestrians and snowshoers.

Question: Are snowscooters allowed in the Lac Blanc resort?

Answer: Yes, snowscooting is permitted on the slopes of the Lac Blanc resort! You can even hire one on site at Le Vallon at Lac Banc 900, at Le Reissberg at Lac Blanc 1200 and at Jacky Sport Go Loisirs at Lac Blanc 1200.

Question: Is the Yooner allowed in the Lac Blanc resort?

Answer: No, the Yooner is not permitted on the pistes in the Lac Blanc alpine area.

Question: Is hillstrike snowtrike allowed on the Lac Blanc alpine slopes?

Answer: No, hillstrike snowtrike is not permitted on the pistes in the Lac Blanc alpine area.

Question: Is ski touring possible at the Lac Blanc resort?

Answer : There are no dedicated ski touring routes at Lac Blanc. Other resorts such as Gaschney offer ski touring routes.

Question: Can I go skiing on the downhill slopes when the Lac Blanc ski area is closed?

Answer: No, it is strictly forbidden to use the ski slopes at Lac Blanc when the resort is closed. Access to the downhill slopes is regulated by a municipal by-law. When the downhill slopes are closed, access is forbidden as they are not safe.

Question: Is there a reduced rate for people with reduced mobility (PRM) in the alpine ski?

Answer : Yes, there is a reduced rate for people with reduced mobility (PRM): you just need to show proof of entitlement at the lift ticket office to benefit from a 50% reduction on the rate of the lift pass. Please note that there is no rate for accompanying persons except for people who are in wheelchairs and cannot move around on their own.

Question : Can I bring my dog?

Answer :  yes on the snowshoe trails but must be kept on a leash.

Question: Can we skate or walk on the Lac Blanc when the lake is frozen?

Answer: No, it is forbidden and dangerous to venture out onto the frozen lake (whether it is the Lac Blanc or the Lac Noir). Even if the lake is frozen, the temperatures are not sufficiently negative and for a sufficiently long period of time to ensure a solid ice cover. The thickness of the ice can also vary depending on sun exposure, currents and wind and can break up even under the weight of a child in places. Finally, you can be fined up to 150 € (the Gendarmerie carries out regular checks).

Question : Is there a shuttle bus to the resort?

Answer :  No, there is no shuttle service to the Lac Blanc resort in winter. Your vehicle must be fitted with winter equipment that complies with the Loi Montagne (for full details, see our page dedicated to accessing the Lac Blanc resort in winter: Access to the resort).

Question: How can I find out about the road conditions to get to the Lac Blanc resort?

Answer : An indication of road conditions is given in the Lac Blanc resort's snow report every morning. You can also consult the official website of the Collectivité Européenne d'Alsace, which manages road conditions, at www.inforoute.alsace.eu

Question : Is winter equipment for the vehicle mandatory?

Answer : Yes, winter equipment is compulsory for your car to access the Lac Blanc resort. All the practical information on our dedicated page: Access to the ski resort

Question : Can I snowshoe on the hiking trails?

Answer : No, this is strongly discouraged, as the markings can be hidden by the snow. It is recommended to practice snowshoeing on the dedicated circuits. Question: Do I need to book to go on Tricky Track?

Answer: No, you don't need to book to go tobogganing at Lac Blanc. You can go directly to the resort.

Question: Do I need a lift pass to go classic tobogganing at Lac Blanc?

Answer : No, you don't need a lift pass to go classic tobogganing at Lac Blanc. The toboggan runs are freely accessible.

Question: Are there ski lifts for the toboggan runs at the Lac Blanc resort?

Answer: No, there are no ski lifts for the toboggan runs.

Question: I'm a pedestrian, can I take the Montjoie chairlift at the Lac Blanc resort?

Answer : Yes, you can take the chairlift on foot: the descent is free, the ascent is €4.60 per person.
